I first met Dan at a Wedding fair about 18 months before our Wedding and straight away I knew- WE HAD TO BOOK HIM!
He was relaxed, friendly, we loved his work and to top it- my mother and grandmother loved him (all the things you look in a photographer, you know)
The planning process was so easy with Dan who helped with the planning of our wedding day where he needed to.
We then met for our engagement shoot at a local reservoir a few months before our wedding- I thought my Husband to be was going to a mess in front of the camera as he can be quite shy. Well boy was I wrong, this was when I knew Dan was going to be godsend- He was so relaxed in front of the camera and took the whole engagement shoot in a public place all in his stride. I couldn't wait for our Wedding Day!
Our Wedding morning came and Dan arrived and blended in to what was a pretty chaotic set up- I had a huge bridal party (8 bridesmaids) and family, including small children running around- Dan wasn't phased and began snapping away.
He kept me calm, whilst I applied my makeup he took some photos of me getting ready whilst we had a little chat- this was just what I needed to beat the Wedding nerves on the morning.
I haven't even mentioned...THE RAIN!!!
So we must of chosen the worst Saturday of the year to get married- torrential rain and flooding from the moment we woke up- till the following day. A Brides worst nightmare- until I got our photos after the wedding it was still a worry for me- did we get everything we wanted, without being able to use the beautiful gardens of our venue? This wasn't a concern for Dan who still captured everything about our day with a plan b attitude. He had an idea for everything- including our umbrella photo taken during a break in the heavy rain.
Throughout our Wedding day, Dan blended into the background truly capturing everything we wanted and more. We wanted a relaxed, fun day with our photos showing our fun, jokey natures, and they certainly did.
I couldn't recommend Dan enough- he was a pleasure to work with during the run up to our Wedding and even more so on the day.
